There are two main ongoing costs to keep your website live on the Internet:

Hosting: Every website needs to have it’s files stored on a secure server to be accessible to the Internet. Without it, your website would not exist. After the website is published, there is a monthly fee for hosting, website self-management and ongoing support. It often works out cheaper to go with our self-management service than to pay a web designer every time you need to make updates.
Domain Name Renewal: Each year, your domain name will require renewal. If we purchased this on your behalf, we will simply renew it for you at cost each year ($45 for 12 months).

Our website hosting is integrated to our website self-management access system, which means your edits are published instantly. No coding is required; making updates is as easy as typing on a word document.

Can I Use My Own Host?

Unfortunately you cannot use your own host. Our hosting server is connected to the Content Management System (CMS), so we cannot separate them to build the site on a hosting platform you already have. You may need to reconsider the cost vs benefit of moving over to us as we offer a hassle-free process compared to other designers which is often worth the move.

If you would like to move your website to an alternative host at a later time, this option is available for you. We will backup your site and send you the html page files which you can take to another hosting platform where can host your new site, although you will no longer be able to access the CMS to make updates. We do not offer support for external party hosting providers and their website configurations, however this functionality it available if you choose to take it up.

There are no contracts or obligations with our hosting so you can cancel your site at anytime without risk.
